David Baeza / Co-Host
David Baeza is a first generation Mexican-American who split his childhood years living in both central Mexico and the U.S. He enjoys cooking dishes that he grew up eating, exploring different cultures, meeting new people and open to exploring interesting ingredients. He loves sipping different whiskeys, tequilas, and mescals as well as collect them. He would randomly help customers at local liquor stores while trying to decide what buy, which would take quite a bit.
David received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Illinois at Chicago. After a few years of being in a long distance relationship, David joined his fiancé in Des Moines, Iowa back in 2015; but have relocated back home to Chicago to be with their family.
David loves spending his time going on long walks with his wife and his little beagle/dachshund rescue, talking with friends and people over food and drinks, bookclub, cooking and hosting tastings.
Doug Choi / Co-Host
Doug Choi is a first generation Korean-American digital designer who has a growing passion for food. He is an avid home cook, a novice bread baker, and is a recent convert to measuring ingredients by weight instead of volume.
Doug grew up in Ames, Iowa, right smack dab in the middle of the state. He received a film & media studies degree at the University of Rochester in Upstate New York before working odd jobs in New York City. After that he joined some friends who were teaching English as a second language in South Korea, where he developed a love for the diner food, street food, and Korean home-cooking.
He returned stateside, first to New York, then back home to Ames to hide from the recession by going to school and earning his M.A. in graphic design at Iowa State University, which led to his employment as a digital designer.
He spends his time reading, cooking, playing video games, and baking bread with his wife in Des Moines, IA
Beau Brenton / Music Producer & Composer
Beau has been writing and producing music for rappers, singers, commercials, and movies for over 10 years. He is experienced in R&B, Rap, Pop, Instrumental and Traditional genres. After playing in the funk band "Monkh & The People" for 5 years he now focuses on his own projects and writing music for other artists.
