EP02: More Than Just Rice with Earvin Idio
We had the opportunity to talk with Earvin Idio, chef and owner of Lumpia&Co, a rising star at the Des Moines Farmers Market, and one of the few people bringing Filipino food to the masses here..
Lumpia & Co. is minority-owned small business that started from a passion and love for Filipino cuisine. Chef Earvin Idio knew he wanted to bring Filipino food to Des Moines, Iowa but didn’t know in what way, so they started by looking into being a vendor at the Downtown Des Moines Farmers Market.
Once they realized that was the perfect set up to give the people in Des Moines Metro not only their take on Filipino food but a taste of Filipino hospitality, Lumpia & Co. was created.
